Feeder Filter - keeping morons off the road
You know those short temporary lanes they put in to allow you to match the speed of traffic? They just need to add tire shredders to the end that pop up if you just sit there...

Quest to find the perfect Bluetooth headset for motorcycles
UClear HBC200
Tinny, annoying sound quality when playing music.
Auto-adjust volume works with phone calls, but not with music
Buttons are non-intuitive - use while wearing gloves is questionable.
Horrible voice quality - picks up engine noise clearly, but voice can not be distinguished while in motion.
Carved out sufficient space in the helmet, and custom fitted the ear pieces using liquid foam. Speakers are so close to the ear as to be mildly uncomfortable, with no improvement.
Cannot understand how they've gotten such rave reviews.

Route 66
I realized last night that I'm very lucky to live so close to Route 66, so I drove down it last night.
I turned around after Knob Hill, but I wanted to keep going...
I drove West on Route 66 further than Knob Hill, and found that it doesn't go much further. In my ignorance and naivete, I thought that the old Route 66 still existed in its entirety, and that the Interstate highways that replaced it did so my building next to it.
Unfortunately, it would seem that the replacement was more of a displacement - huge sections of what used to be Route 66 is now I-40. The good news, however, is that there are still significant sections of old Route 66 in existence. One day, I'll visit them on my way to Las Vegas, Nevada :D

Riding Rule #3: Follow Distance
When following another vehicle, if you're not sure how much distance to put between you and the vehicle ahead, follow this guideline.

Riding Rule #2: Blind spots
It's safer to be in their blind spot than for them to be in yours. Unless, of course, you're sleeping...
